15 - Zest of 1 small orange

# Directions:
01 - Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions and lightly grease with coconut oil.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, and cardamom until evenly distributed.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together almond milk, eggs or flax egg mixture, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and orange zest until well blended.
04 - Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined without overmixing. The batter should be thick but pourable; add additional milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
05 - Ladle approximately ½ to ¾ cup batter into the preheated waffle iron depending on iron size. Cook according to manufacturer instructions, typically 4–5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy on the exterior.
06 - Remove waffles and keep warm while cooking remaining batter. Serve hot topped with yogurt, fresh fruit, honey or maple syrup, and nuts or seeds as desired.
